Ms. Keesha is an Award Winning International Filmmaker and can be seen in front of the camera as well as behind the camera. Her body of work is extensive and her passion for film is unmatched. In addition to acting, producing, and directing, Onyx is dedicated to teaching film to girls and women through her program, IndiePink. Her goal is to empower female indie filmmakers to think big and have the skills to compete in an industry where women are grossly under represented.
As the founder of M.PoWeR arts, Ms. Onyx Keesha is dedicated to empowering others through the arts. With a location in both NJ and GA, Onyx is working hard to offer stellar arts education opportunities.
In addition directing original work for the stage, Ms. Keesha has also directed, Annie, The Wiz, Aida, Aladdin, The Colored Museum, Once On This Island and more. Onyx has served in the capacity of Youth Program Director, Camp Director, After School Coordinator, and Dance/Drama/Film specials teacher in the public school system.
Lesli Hall Price has worked in youth development, youth programs, and youth outreach since 2002. Formerly Ms. Price has been the director of youth and family services for the Plainfield Boys&Girls Club, Youth Outreach Specialist for the Plainfield Public Schools and Educational Coordinator for the Upward Bound Program at Seton Hall University.
Under her direction Plainfield hosted it's first ever community wide Kids Day event for 500 people 2002-2004, Father Daughter Dance 2003-2005, and Mother Son Dance in 2008.
She has advanced experience in summer programs/summer camps and has been a camp director, after school program manager, and site coordinator for 21st century as well the After school program manager and Site coordinator and Plainfield Public Schools Teen Club Advisor.
